Katrina Cherry Platt
DIRECTORKatrina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and communities through grief, trauma, leadership challenges, and meaningful life transitions. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has completed advanced training and certifications in trauma-informed care and mindful approaches to healing. Alongside her work with organizations, retreats, and community initiatives, she has spent the past ten years in private practice, offering a grounded, compassionate space for clients to heal, grow, and reconnect with their inner resilience.
Her career began in the nonprofit sector, where she led nature-based grief programs designed to help communities reconnect with both themselves and the healing power of the natural world. This work expanded into serving military populations, creating/facilitating grief retreats, and supporting families of fallen special operations service members through multiple nonprofit organizations. These experiences cultivated a deep understanding of the importance of ethical leadership, community stewardship, and creating spaces where healing, connection, and meaningful change can occur.
Katrina is excited to join the Nate Chute Foundation board with hopes to bring a collaborative, mission-driven perspective informed by years of clinical work, program development, retreat facilitation, and nonprofit service. She is passionate about supporting organizations that foster resilience, authentic human connection, and holistic well-being within both individuals and communities.
Outside of her professional work, Katrina enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, exploring wellness and contemplative practices, and creating meaningful experiences with family and community. She is especially drawn to spaces that encourage connection, reflection, adventure, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty and complexity of being human.
