Have you been looking for a way to give back to your community?
VOLUNTEER WITH NCF
NCF is seeking volunteers to further our mission of supporting education and empowering our community to promote mental wellness and reduce suicide.
WHY NCF NEEDS YOU
Our small but dedicated team serves Flathead County by providing mental health education and resources. As a volunteer, you help expand our reach, strengthen community connections, and ensure support gets to those who need it most.
WHAT DO NCF VOLUNTEERS DO?
AREAS OF SUPPORT:
EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Suicide prevention isn't just about supporting someone in a moment of intense crisis –– it's also about raising awareness and understanding, and helping the general public to have open and honest discussions about mental health and suicide. Our education programs are designed to provide that guidance.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We promote help-seeking as a sign of strength through awareness campaigns, events, and digital outreach. Outreach volunteers support these efforts by engaging with the community at local events, sharing resources, and helping create content tailored for digital platforms and specific audiences.
PEER GRIEF SUPPORT
Provide resources that help people connect with other loss survivors, hear how they navigated their healing journeys, and learn to support others who have survived a loss.
All Nate Chute Foundation volunteers must complete an application and interview. Once approved, volunteers go through a 9-hour training to ensure they feel equipped to navigate conversations around mental health and suicide.
